Welcome to Hendrickson Spinner Fly Fishing Guide and Instruction Services. My name is Frank DeGrazio and I am a NYS Licensed Fishing Guide #6886. I am located in the Hudson Valley, New York, and I provide many different types of guided fly fishing trips in fresh or saltwater in New York and Connecticut. My guiding philosophy is simple: Your limited time on the water is precious and I will try to ensure our day together meets your goals and expectations. Before every outing, I work to fully understand your skill level, interests and what you hope to accomplish during the day. You can set the agenda, you can determine the details, or I can do that for you. I will provide the skills, knowledge and expertise for every trip. Whether your focus is on trying to catch fish, improving your techniques and skills, or discovering new places to go fishing, I am committed to trying to make sure your outing is special, unique and designed entirely around your needs.
I would like to take this time to thank all who have taken trips with us the last year. 2017 was a great year, and we are looking forward to an exciting 2018 season. My fall was booked with trips, TU Events, and a day Guiding for Project Healing Waters. Throw in coaching my boy's soccer teams, and work, it was nice to get to the cold weather. Lately I have been busy filling the boxes, speaking, and getting ready for fly tying demonstrations. I presented to the East Jersey TU Chapter in January and we had a great turn out! The members got a lot a good look at our Local Watershed.
On February 15, the Croton TU will be having our Fly Tying Night. The event starts at 6;30 pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Pleasentville, NY. Lots of interesting guys and gals will be tying with me. I will be doing my local guide flies.
February 25, I will be part of Orvis Darien CT, fly tying day. A great line up is scheduled to attend, don't miss out! I will be tying two caddis patterns that really have become a staple in my guiding and fishing.
March 10, out Annual Croton TU Dinner. Here is a link to get your tickets!
I will be starting to book trips the middle of March, so if you want to secure top hatches and times. please email me asap!
The fishing has been on the last couple of weeks. The flows are up, but hit them on the way down and on warmer days. Check out the Reports section to for some February tips and a picture of one of the nice Browns I got into. The Angler's Den has been jammed packed on Thursday Night Fly Tying. Its been standing room only, as out guys are sharing their favorite flies and techniques. Lots of customers have been fishing the Croton and Farmington in CT.
Its shaping up to be a good spring, cabin fever is definitely set in, and we are looking to get out on the water more!

These patterns have been modified for use in our local waters, and have been proven time and time again. We wanted to be able to offer them to our clients, so you can use them all the time. They are in stock now!
